Appointment of State Commander
TO:
Region Commanders
Article
V, Section 4, of the Constitution states:
“A State Commander shall be appointed by the Region
Commander and assume duties on July 1st each year. In the event an appointment is not made, the Vice
Commander-in-Chief with the area of responsibility will appoint a State
Commander. The appointee who
neglects or fails to perform the duties of the office properly may be removed by
the Region Commander with concurrence of the Vice Commander-in-Chief with area
responsibility. The Region
Commander will be responsible for notifying National Headquarters prior to 30
June of the selection. In those
states having a departmental organization the Commanders shall be elected by
such departments and take office prior to 1 July of each year”.
Notification
of this appointment may be in writing to MOWW National Headquarters,
Information required:
Rank, name, and address, residence phone, business phone, if any, FAX number, if
any, and email address, if any. Your
compliance with the above will ensure that State Commanders are kept informed on
all matters relative to their area of responsibility. The information provided
will be included in the 2008-2009 National Directory and posted to the MOWW
website. We appreciate your prompt
