Youth Protection Training for External

INTRODUCTION: 

This document contains instructions for completing Youth Protection Training.  These instructions are for members of external organizations.

Before you begin, review these requirements.

•    The site supports Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater with a minimum screen resolution of 800X600.  The site requires JavaScript to be            enabled for your browser.

•    Complete the training immediately after your register; you have only two hours to do so.

•    Do not exit the training application until you have completed the course and printed the certificate.  Upon exiting, you cannot view or reprint the certificate without retaking the course.

PROCEDURES:

To take Youth Protection Training and print training certificate: Recommend printing this page, first.

   1.  Click on the link provided below.

   2.  Enter your registration information.  When you get to member id enter the YLC code that was given to you on the 2008 Multi-day Conference list.  The code is in the second column of the Schedule of Conferences.  For example:  the first conference listed is El Paso Chapter at Fort Bliss and their code is EPLYC.

   3.  Click SUBMIT to complete your registration.  Note.  A Youth Protection Training-Venturing Version window opens.  This Internet window must remain open while you complete the course.

   4.  Click TAKE COURSE.  A language selection window opens.

   5.  Click ENGLISH or SPANISH.

   6.  Complete the training course and take the required test.

   7.  After completing the course and test, a log-in window opens.  Close this Internet window.  The Youth Protection Training-Venturing Version window should still be open.

   8.  Click anywhere in the Youth Protection Training-Venturing Version window.

   9.  Click F5 to refresh the contents of the Youth Protection Training-Venturing Version window.  If you completed the course, the window no longer contains the Take Course option.  If you want to review the course, do so now.

   10.  Click Print Certificate.  Retain the certificate for your records. 

Caution:  If you exit the training software, you will not be able to view or print a certificate at a later date without taking the course again.

   11.  Close all open windows.
