RESOLUTION
REDUCTION OF
IMMIGRATION LEVELS

WHEREAS,
illegal immigration levels have accounted for the explosive growth of the
American population which will reach over 300 million in 2006; and
WHEREAS,
continued illegal immigration coupled with drug trafficking, and the potential
for terrorist infiltration and overwhelming the U.S. Border Patrol, Homeland
Security and law enforcement agencies and have been overtaxing local social
services, schooling, medical and housing services as well as county and state
government services; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
that The Military Order of the World Wars at its Annual Convention in
Burlingame, California, August 2-7, 2005, urges the President of the United
States and the United States Congress to curtail the continue influx of illegal
immigrants through increased deportation and border enforcement, and the
immigration levels be regulated at a moderate scale so as to reduce the threats
of terrorist infiltration and drug trafficking as well as the heavy drain on
local and state governmental resources and services.
